Mazatapec magic mushroom spores, scientifically referred to as Psilocybe Cubensis “Mazatapec,” come from the Mazatapec strain of the Psilocybe Cubensis species. This strain is native to the Mazatec region of Mexico, renowned for its historical use in spiritual and healing rituals involving hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Under the microscope, Mazatapec spores display an elongated, ellipsoid shape with smooth surfaces and a dark purple to purplish-brown coloration. They typically thrive in subtropical climates, growing in habitats rich with bovine or equine dung and enriched soils.

Mazatapec mushrooms feature a cap that reaches over 50mm in diameter, transitioning from dark cinnamon brown to golden brown as it matures. The stem is yellowish to buff in color, bruising bluish-green when injured, and bears a persistent membranous ring dusted with purple-brown spores. The gills begin grayish and darken to nearly black at maturity.
